Nominator's project description
| Professor Rottler is well known internationally for his original contributions to the understanding of nonequilibrium systems in soft and hard condensed matter. He employs sophisticated molecular simulations to explore the rich rheological behavior of polymer materials and amorphous glassy solids and to gain insights into the molecular-level mechanisms of structural and mechanical behavior in and out of equilibrium. During his stay in Germany, he intends to study the mechanics of nanostructured polymeric materials and the nonequilibrium physics of amorphous matter. |
